01About this project

Collector reconstruction rehabilitates collector roads, replaces street lights, sidewalks, curbs and gutters and adds missing sidewalk links, where possible. Cost sharing opportunities will be made available through the local improvement process for sidewalk reconstruction and decorative street light upgrades in the neighbourhood. Arterial roads and alleys are not included in the scope of work. Construction is scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2023 and should be completed by Fall 2024. Update: Construction is underway on the 2026 scope of work on 132 Avenue. Year 4 of 4 is scheduled to be completed in late fall of 2026. Staged road closures will be in place throughout the construction season. More information can be found at edmonton.ca/132avenue Location: 132 Avenue: Fort Road - 127 Street Collector Road

02How to get on the bid list

Big projects are not usually tendered trade by trade in public. The owner hires a general contractor or construction manager, who then prequalifies trades and sends out packages. Getting on that list early is how you get the call.

  1. Find out who the general contractor or construction manager is.
  2. Prequalify on their trade-partner portal (insurance, safety record, references).
  3. Ask when the packages for your trade go out, and to be on the invite list.
