01About this project
The Beverly Bridge, located in northeast Edmonton, is scheduled for rehabilitation. The bridge was constructed in 1972 and has five spans. The project involves rehabilitation of the bridge to restore it to its original state and to extend the life of the structure. Update: Stage 2 work is ongoing with the rehabilitation of the concrete deck and replacement of traffic barriers, deck joints, and steel girders. While concrete deterioration was found to be more advanced than expected, additional efforts are in place to finish repair by the end of 2026. Location: Beverly Bridge

02How to get on the bid list
Big projects are not usually tendered trade by trade in public. The owner hires a general contractor or construction manager, who then prequalifies trades and sends out packages. Getting on that list early is how you get the call.
- Find out who the general contractor or construction manager is.
- Prequalify on their trade-partner portal (insurance, safety record, references).
- Ask when the packages for your trade go out, and to be on the invite list.
