01About this project
The High Level Bridge is scheduled for renewal beginning in the 2023-2026 budget cycle. The City has also identified the need for an enhanced active mode connection between downtown and south-central Edmonton. To optimize the upcoming rehabilitation of the High Level Bridge, the project will include widening of the east sidewalk on the bridge. The work will include the planning, design and delivery of the High Level Bridge rehabilitation, in combination with widening the east sidewalk sidewalk for better operations and accessibility. Update: The High Level Bridge will undergo targeted rehabilitation, maintenance and monitoring to ensure the bridge continues to operate safely while long-term planning for its eventual replacement advances. This work will focus on maintaining safe operations, extending the bridge's service life and improving safety and accessibility where possible. Targeted rehabilitation is planned to occur in 2028.

02How to get on the bid list
Big projects are not usually tendered trade by trade in public. The owner hires a general contractor or construction manager, who then prequalifies trades and sends out packages. Getting on that list early is how you get the call.
- Find out who the general contractor or construction manager is.
- Prequalify on their trade-partner portal (insurance, safety record, references).
- Ask when the packages for your trade go out, and to be on the invite list.
