01About this project
This project consists of planning and design work eventually leading to the replacement of the Mill Creek Trestle Bridge, located in the Mill Creek Ravine parallel to 76 Avenue. The removal of the existing bridge and the construction of a replacement bridge is not yet planned or funded. Update: Construction began in fall 2025 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026. Demolition of the trestle bridge and culvert is complete. Concrete piles have been installed on the south side slope to accomodate a stability wall and girders and timber trusses have been placed. Installation of road bridge abutments is in progress.

02How to get on the bid list
Big projects are not usually tendered trade by trade in public. The owner hires a general contractor or construction manager, who then prequalifies trades and sends out packages. Getting on that list early is how you get the call.
- Find out who the general contractor or construction manager is.
- Prequalify on their trade-partner portal (insurance, safety record, references).
- Ask when the packages for your trade go out, and to be on the invite list.
