01About this project

Parkview (East of 142 Street) has been chosen for Neighbourhood Renewal. Neighbourhood Renewal rehabilitates residential roads, replaces street lights, improves how people walk, bike and drive in the neighbourhood, and explores how they enjoy City-owned parks and open spaces. A series of public events will be scheduled by the Project Team which will give residents the opportunity to build a project Vision and Guiding Principles together and provide regular feedback on the different stages of the project including design. Cost-sharing opportunities will be made available through the local improvement process for sidewalk reconstruction and decorative street light upgrades in the neighbourhood. Arterial roads are not included in the scope of work. Further project information can be found at edmonton.ca/BuildingParkview. Update: Parkview (East of 142 Street) has been chosen for Neighbourhood Renewal. Planning and design is underway. 02How to get on the bid list

Big projects are not usually tendered trade by trade in public. The owner hires a general contractor or construction manager, who then prequalifies trades and sends out packages. Getting on that list early is how you get the call.

  1. Find out who the general contractor or construction manager is.
  2. Prequalify on their trade-partner portal (insurance, safety record, references).
  3. Ask when the packages for your trade go out, and to be on the invite list.
