01About this project
The project invovles new construction to expand the Emergency Department (ED). This includes the addition of an ambulance garage, and renovations to the existing 1985 wing to redevelop the existing ED, ambulatory care, public areas, administrative and support services. The project increases emergency capacity and efficiency, while improving infection control, privacy, staff safety, and overall quality of emergency care to meet regional growth needs.

02How to get on the bid list
Big projects are not usually tendered trade by trade in public. The owner hires a general contractor or construction manager, who then prequalifies trades and sends out packages. Getting on that list early is how you get the call.
- Find out who the general contractor or construction manager is.
- Prequalify on their trade-partner portal (insurance, safety record, references).
- Ask when the packages for your trade go out, and to be on the invite list.
