01About this project
This project includes upgrades to Terwillegar Drive/Whitemud Drive interchange, widening and upgrades to the Rainbow Valley Bridges, and widening of Whitemud Drive. Transit priority measures connecting the planned dedicated bus lanes on Terwillegar Drive to South Campus LRT station are also under consideration as part of this project. Update: The Rainbow Valley Pedestrian Bridge and the 142 Street Pedestrian Bridge opened to the public in July 2026. Terwillegar Drive Stage 2 work is underway, with project completion expected by the end of 2026.

Big projects are not usually tendered trade by trade in public. The owner hires a general contractor or construction manager, who then prequalifies trades and sends out packages. Getting on that list early is how you get the call.

- Prequalify on their trade-partner portal (insurance, safety record, references).
- Ask when the packages for your trade go out, and to be on the invite list.
